Thanks Michael and runningmovies. There's one other airshow in the region that weekend and I'll give them a chance.

No problem! By the way, in terms of the amount of people at this show since this is my first year, how busy is it? I bought drop zone tickets for my family, and some more friends. Do I need to bring an umbrella and chairs to the Drop Zone? I'm asking here because the website says two different things in the image and the FAQ page. Lastly, how long will traffic be coming in and out of ocean city, where can I find parking, and how early should I arrive?
1. How busy is it?
2. Should I bring an umbrella and chairs to the Drop Zone beach ticketed area?
3. How long will traffic be coming in and out of ocean city?
4. Where can I find parking?
5. How early should I arrive into the area?
Thanks!

1. It can be really busy on show days, one long backup. I normally stay at a hotel right near show center so it's no big deal for me normally. (Attached some pictures I had from 2021 of the crowd). The beach near show center on good weather year can be packed.Michael Bennett wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 12:23 pm No problem! 2. Lot of people do, but space can be tight.
3. For parking the earlier you are then better change to find something, close to noon it's nearly impossible to. There is a public parking at the inlet at the end of the boardwalk but its nearly a mile to the show area they have trams that run from there down the boardwalk so that helps. I also believe that they run bus from 2 big parking lots one in the south (over the 50 bridge) and one in the north (convention center). I have only once needed to park and we parked at a church for like $25 or something for the day, but where there near 8 or 9am.
4. If you are driving for the day the earlier the better. I can be a pain to get in and out closer to show time. I personally stay the whole weekend there so don't know much about how bad it can be. You could also consider coming down Friday during the day and watch the practice show which will have most acts fly minus fly over and some other stuff. Last year the Hornet flew twice on Friday which was nice.

No problem, this is one of my favorite shows to go, I use to go with my mother to it every year until she passed away 2 years ago, so it's kind of special to me.passedgas46 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 3:09 am Thanks Michael and runningmovies. Thank you so much for the insight! If the weather is sunny or partly cloudy this year then I believe it could be one of the biggest in a long time. Probably because COVID-19 cases are way way lower than they used to be when Omicron hit and more and more people are finding out about the airshow.

My condolences for your loss. I’m sure she enjoyed them! I also lost my dad who loved aviation and I wish I could’ve showed him his first airshow. I’ll be praying for you & your family and I hope you enjoy the show this year.
