Unfortunately, the initial forecast for Saturday doesn't look great. Hoping conditions improve. Sunday looks great.

Now that the forecast has stabilized, Saturday’s outlook appears even worse. There will most likely be thunderstorms the entire day. I don’t think there will be any flying on Saturday. I’m interested to see if they offer seating ticket refunds or honor them on Sunday. Haven’t seen any announcement yet. Meanwhile, Sunday looks like the perfect air show day.
Anyway, just wanted to give one more PSA to anyone planning to go on Saturday: DON’T.

Saturday is the only day I can make it. My grandparents live not too far to the south of Beaufort in a similar location on the coast, and the weather can be very unpredictable there. Some days it'll say no rain and then pour, others it's says its going to storm all day and it ends up being beautiful. Just hoping it clears up.awal2049 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 2:07 pm Now that the forecast has stabilized, Saturday’s outlook appears even worse. There will most likely be thunderstorms the entire day. Weather's improving a little bit for tomorrow! High ceilings as well. May end up getting rained on in the part way through the show but hopefully it'll be short-lived!

Just a heads up on their gates open time of 9:30AM - I inquired on Facebook if that was for the parking lots or the security lines and they responded saying it was for both parking and security which makes me think that if you show up at 8AM, you may be sitting on the side of the highway until 9:30AM.

I’m still seeing more storms, but it’s definitely clearing up. One thing that’s for sure is any flying that does happen on Saturday will be an absolute vapor fest. Best of luck to those going.
Tracking the practice on FlightAware. It appears that the para-commandos are using Fat Albert as their jump plane. If that happens during the show, it’s gonna be awesome. Pretty much all of the statics arrived yesterday. This is going to be a good weekend.
