Rumours abound with regard to the flying display.

The Sarang display team from India are being dispatched to a foreign airshow. The C-17 shown in the pictures has since touched down in Dubai. Most of Sarang's recent overseas airshow deployments have seen them joined by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team and/or Tejas also, so let's see if one of those also gets added to the line up.

Several social media accounts are confidently stating the participation of August 1st and the Russian Knights in posts like the one below, but I can't find the official confirmation.

Additionally, Pakistani media confirms more information about their presence:
- The JF-17C Block III will make its international airshow debut in Dubai in the static display
- The JF-17 Block II will appear in the flying display. The mission patch suggests the aircraft has been fitted with a coloured smoke system.
- The Super Mushak will also be in the flying display

Quite a big coup for the show: two L-15 Falcons destined for the UAE Air Force have touched down in Dubai, fresh from the factory in China.

The UAE ordered 15 L-15s earlier this year and, while the type has been designed as a Lead In Fighter-Trainer, it is expected that the UAE's small fleet may be used to equip the Fursan Al Emarat aerobatic team, replacing their MB339s. The colourful paint scheme appears to back up this theory.

Hopefully we'll be seeing one of these beauties in the flying display next week.

Wow, the F-15 is quite the catch!
The company also will demonstrate the state-of-the-art F-15QA (Qatar Advanced) fighter, the first time the digitally advanced Qatar Emiri Air Force F-15 has performed at an air show.
I look forward to that immensely.

Was already confirmed on the website....
FLYING DISPLAY
A key part of the biennial event, the flying display is an impressive way for manufacturers to demonstrate their aircraft abilities to the global aerospace industry as whole, whilst providing a breath taking spectacle for thousands of visitors each day.

Get ready to be amazed for 5 days of awe-inspiring aerial displays as the skies welcome the triumphant return of Al-Fursan (UAE), the Frecce Tricolori (Italy), August 1st (China), Sarang (India) and more.

The flying display will take place each afternoon during the Dubai Airshow from 2:00pm – 5:00pm, 13 – 17 November 2023. The line-up for 2023 will be live soon.

Ha! In my trawling of Twitter I didn't actually think to check back on the official website.

Two Lakenheath-based USAF F-35As are enroute to Dubai, assisted by a KC-46.

Meanwhile, another unannounced participant is touches down: the Tejas. In total, three examples of the Tejas have arrived, which suggests one static, one flying, one spare.

I notice that Pakistan's JF-17A (the one earmarked for the flying display) has dropped off the airshow website. The JF-17C (static display only) remains. This may well be an error as the aircraft list on the website is clearly incomplete, but equally, the JF-17 has a documented history of withdrawing from flying displays when the Tejas shows up.

Eurofighter Typhoon added to the aircraft list - operator and type of participation not specified.

Edit - it's a Royal Air Force Typhoon FGR.4 and it's appearing on static display.

Very interesting self-confirmations from Russia's Rosoboronexport.

+ Ka-32A11M firefighting helicopter (flying)
+ KA-52 (flying)
+ Il-76MD-90A(E) (static)
