The RAF Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, will be headlining the 2023 Air Festival, bringing two full sensational displays and a flypast to the show this year. This thrilling three-day event takes place at the Ragley Hall Estate on 2nd – 4th June and will be the first opportunity to see their 2023 routine in the UK.

An absolute coup for the 2023 festival weekend, is the display from the Royal Air Force Typhoon front line jet fighter, the audience will see and hear the mighty roar of this incredible aircraft in action, taking to the skies above Ragley Hall, performing a mind blowing display of speed, power and agility for all to enjoy.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will display on each day of the show – all featuring a Spitfire and Hurricane, key fighters in the Battle of Britain. On Friday and Saturday, these aircraft will be accompanied by the mighty Avro Lancaster four engine bomber, famous for the daring dam busters raid.

Also confirmed to appear in this fantastic RAF line up is the Falcons Parachute Display Team. The Falcons are the UK’s premier military parachute display team. Plummeting to earth at speeds up to 195kmh, the world’s most accomplished military skydivers will leap from their aircraft, trailing smoke to make them easier to spot. Once they deploy their canopies, they will carry out a series of manoeuvres and set pieces, before landing right in front of the audience and being available to answer questions and give autographs.

Rounding up the RAF line up is the Grob Tutor. This aircraft is used to provide air experience flights and elementary flight training for University Squadrons, RAF Cadets and entry level pilots who will be starting their flying career with the Royal Air Force. The Tutor display often begins with a dive from a height to ensure momentum for its impressive manoeuvres, giving the pilot the opportunity to show skill and finesse.

The RAF participation is just one part of a much bigger air display featuring WW2 warbirds, helicopters, classic jets, high energy aerobatics, wing walkers and formation teams. Across the three days of the festival, visitors can also see the largest gathering of hot air balloons and airships in the UK; both tethered and flying in the mass ascents. Included in the 200 balloons attending, will be a spectacular number of the giant character ‘special shape’ balloons including the two Bertie Bassets, Astro the Alien, Tropsy the Dinosaur, two frogs and many more.

Tickets are available, in advance only, through the www.midlandsairfestival.com website, along with options for camping, caravanning and glamping, for those wishing to stay on site and make the most of the event. Tickets are still free for children under 13 years old when accompanied by a paying adult.

Availability is beginning to run low for the 2023 event, so do not delay if you wish to attend on a specific day.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Ragley Hall!

Kind regards,

Trev & James
