Skipping Oshkosh this year to travel to some parts of the country I haven't seen before and incorporating an airshow into each trip. Going to be a different sort of year because of that. Most of my plans last year didn't work out, so I'm hoping for better luck this year.

Locks:

June 2-4 - WWII Weekend (Reading)
July 15 or 16 - JB Lewis-McChord
September 9 - Waukegan
September 16 - 100th Anniversary of WACO Fly-In
October 28-29 - Indianapolis

Maybe:
One of Columbus, Quad City, Flint or Battle Creek. Will depend on how non-airshow plans work out.
July 22-23 weekend: Boundary Bay and/or a Heritage Flight Museum Fly Day. Depends on how the rest of my trip to Washington pans out.
September 23 weekend: Madison and/or Wings by the Wabash and/or TSWM Flying Warbirds Showcase (date pending on this one).
Bowman Field Aviation Heritage Festival if it's held again. Not sure of their plans.

Maybe something else will pop up after ICAS.

Here's my REALLY preliminary schedule. As dead set of a schedule that I had in 2022, which included 4 big time travel shows (Ellsworth, Osh, Edwards, and Nellis), 2023 is more fluid for me.

Oshkosh - I'm 60/40 on Osh. I feel like if I skip this, I can focus on my big Miramar/Huntington Beach trip. I also feel if I skip it, I will miss something epic (like the 2018 Raptor passes)

There are also some really cool shows that Ryan and my other friends are planning on attending. I'll keep a close eye on those, but it will depend on $$$.

Only 3 shows, for sure, for me. Maybe another one or two will be added.

Looks like Cleveland is the pop up from ICAS and I've added it my plans. That probably takes most of the other maybes out of play, but that's a fair tradeoff. I want to see the Harrier one more time before they're retired and this will probably be my best chance. Boundary Bay is a strong possibility and might be a higher priority than McChord while I'm out that area. Should be a fun year!
