Experience the thrill of skydiving during the International Sanicole Airshow on 21 & 22 September 2024 at Hechtel-Eksel thanks to the excellent Canadian parachute team SkyHawks!

Commemorating the 80th anniversary of Operation Market Garden, one of the largest airborne operations in history, this world-class skydiving team fits the bill perfectly, even though Canadian troops did not take part in the operation. As Canada's premier military parachute demonstration team, the SkyHawks are rising above expectations. They deliver breathtaking feats that thrill audiences when the 8 members of the team demonstrate the excellent maneuverability of their canopies.

With over 50 years of experience, the SkyHawks are known for their precision and professionalism in performing complex aerial maneuvers. From precise formations to high-speed free falls, the team is at the pinnacle of skydiving, representing Canada at both national and international events. In addition to the thrill of their demonstration, the SkyHawks inspire and educate the public about the art and science of skydiving, thanks in part to their captivating presentation. The SkyHawks are stationed in Trenton, Ontario and are a sub-unit of the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC).

The team already delivered memorable performances at the International Sanicole Airshows in 2010 and 2012, and no doubt their exciting performance will once again leave a lasting impression, honouring the memory of the Canadian troops who took part in the liberation of Europe during World War II.

Now more than ever before, preparing new pilots for their future operational careers is a highly specialized task, which is carried out with powerful and extremely capable training aircraft. Join us at the International Sanicole Airshow on 21 and 22 September to discover how Polish pilots prepare for their careers on the latest fighter jets with one of the most modern jet trainers in the world: the M346 Bielik (eagle).

This will be the debut of the new Polish M346 Master solo demonstration team in Belgium. The M346, also known as the Master, is a twin-engine aircraft manufactured by the Italian manufacturer Leonardo. It combines high performance and state-of-the-art avionics in a complete training package. With the help of augmented reality, pilots can be trained in a variety of challenging scenarios, including simulating environments with high enemy threat or complex emergencies. Thanks to the excellent flight characteristics, pilots in training are well prepared for their operational tasks at Polish air force squadrons on fighter aircraft such as the F-16C Fighting Falcon. As combat aircraft become increasingly complex, training aircraft must also simulate the systems used by operational aircraft.

The M346 is part of the Polish Air Force's large-scale modernization program to deal with modern national security threats. This included the replacement of their obsolete TS-11 Iskra jet trainers with 16 brand new M346s at the Air Force Academy in Deblin in central Poland, which are fully compliant with the latest NATO standards. Don't miss this opportunity to discover one of the most modern aircraft in service in Europe. Pilots Major Adrian Chudzinski and Major Robert Jel are already looking forward to showing their demo full of barrel rolls and reverse maneuvers.

This year we say goodbye to the Belgian Air Force Red Devils, the aerial acrobatics team of the Belgian Air Component.

The team has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1957. Initially, the Red Devils flew with Hawker Hunter aircraft, although they gained international fame in the 1970s, when they brought their spectacle with Fouga Magister jet trainers, known for the beautiful butterfly tail.

After disbanding in 1977, the team was re-established in 2011 for the 65th anniversary of the Belgian Air Force, this time on the Air Force's elementary training aircraft, the rather sporty-looking Italian-built SIAI Marchetti SF-260. They are part of the 5th Squadron based at Beauvechain. The pilots of the Red Devils are all flight instructors and add their team duties to their regular squadron duties.

With their four Marchettis, they perform a series of elegant maneuvers in formation before splitting up for an action-packed second half, including hair-raising crossings and solo aerial acrobatics.

De Marchetti has served as an elementary trainer in the Belgian Air Force since 1969 and will soon leave active service. The Air Force is actively seeking replacements for basic training duties. Therefore, the team will be disbanded at the end of the 2024 airshow season. We hope that we will see the Red Devils again in the future with a new device!

Don't miss their last performance at the International Sanicole Airshow and come and wave them goodbye on 21 & 22 September 2024 in Hechtel-Eksel.
