Hello, does anyone know which runway is used, and where the crowd sits? I'm specifically looking for shows where the sun will be at my back for photography reasons.

Thanks!

Welcome!

I've only been there in 2022 - but they used the runway on the east side of the airport, 35R/17L. The crowd & statics are on the ramp by the end of the runway, here's a map - there were other parking areas but the highlighted one is where I ended up parked -

I posted a handful of pictures in this thread if you want to get a better idea of what the light was like -

I would really stress getting there early. They had to start turning people away last time later in the day, even if you bought tickets if I remember correctly (although it could go smoother this time).

I think one of the best air shows and for aviation photography, because of its location - aircrafts are front lit, is Nellis AFB, NV.
