Just got word that the 180th FW out of Toledo Ohio will be flying at Columbus.

I heard that as well! I’d love for them to beat up the pattern for a bit.

These past couple years with the Columbus airshow returning, I haven’t seen it as much of a special show. Though this is still true, I’ve valued the amount of war birds brought in by the show organizers. As much as I would love to see Columbus return to what it was like in the old days with B2’s, B52’s, F117’s, RAF Tornados, F14’s and stuff like that, I will never see it getting anything above an average lineup. I know this is due to there being lack of planes like this anymore but looking back on the old Rickenbacker air shows is just amazing to see. Columbus is an amazing show for warbirds and recently there have been a few military additions but I feel like the organizers can still pull in more. Last year they dragged Luke AFB F35’s across the country for this show and it would be amazing if they could do it again. Looking at the Raptors schedule also, with no show the weekend of Columbus, it would be awesome to bring it back. I feel like this shows lineup isn’t going to advance much from what it’s at, but there’s always a chance. I’ve been happy to see the progress with performers added recently such as the F16 flybys from Toledo. I feel like they should still bring in another jet for the flyover with the Kc135 and maybe do a NORAD demonstration with the Stingers.
