According to a statement made by Ric Petersen on a recent Show Center podcast starring him with Matt Jolley and Rob Reider, there's some possibilities circulating that we might see some type of participation from European display teams in 2024 to help commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Yes I've heard that rumor as well. As I understand Bagotville Airshow in 2024 is one of the shows slated to get an international team.

As it's the RCAF anniversary you'd assume it'll be Red Arrows and/or Typhoon demo? But red arrows were in north America not long ago, so who knows...

Not sure if the Belgian F16 demo team will still exist in 2024 but it could be them as well.

Add the Frecce Tricolori to the teams that might come over for a North American Tour in 2024.
Responding to an inquiry from Coun. Ben Fadeyiw, Turenne noted that while the organizers are still hopeful that they can pull groups such as the U.S. Blue Angels squadron, they likely won’t be able to confirm all of the aerial acts until after the ICAS Convention slated for December.

“We have not given up and are actively targeting those performers and many others,” said Turenne. “There are some European teams that are coming to Canada as well. The Italian demonstration team is planning a North American visit next year and we are seeing if they are interested in coming to Cold Lake.”

On the most recent episode of the Show Center Podcast, Ric Peterson mentioned that the European Teams who are coming over will have representatives at ICAS, and they will announce their tour schedules at ICAS, he also said that the planned tours will be a good thing for both sides of the borders.

Got my fingers crossed for some Florida shows. Or Maybe, I'll just need to travel. Can't wait for ICAS.

Niiiiice!!

Should be taking place sometime in the June-July time frame, as the Amerigo Vespucci is in LA in early July. Hope to catch them while they're here; haven't seen the Frecce since 2009.

That's great news. I'll happily alter whatever airshow plans I already have to see them at least once. My wife's been warned.

I remember the two previous times they came over. There was a joint show with the Italians and the Thunderbirds at the Atlantic City International Airport in 1992 - that, I believe was the last airshow at the AC Airport. The weather wasn't ideal but the Italians flew one fantastic performance.

If you have not seen them before, you are in for a real treat.
