No. You're on the museum's grounds so their admission applies.

I've been to this "event" once... it was a good reason to check the museum out. It's not an airshow so don't get your hopes up.

Some info from the event:

This year’s AirFest (9/1-9/4) features a P-40 Warhawk "American Dream", F4F Wildcat (Military Aviation Museum), TBM Avenger "Suzanne", DC-3 "Yukon Sourdough", and a C53 Skytrooper "Beach City Baby". In addition, the museum is hosting a theatrical performance each day of the event at 11 am by the American Historical Theatre. They will portray the likeness of Amelia Earhart, Bessie Coleman, a Harvey Girl, and Rosie the Riveter. Additionally, there will be a flyover by the 177th Fighter Wing (9/1), fly in by the Aero Club of PA (9/2), helicopters from the New Jersey State Police, AtlantiCare MedEvac, Cape May County Mosquito Commission, and United States Coast Guard. Festgoers will also enjoy live music, free face painting and caricatures, food trucks, beer and wine gardens, vendors, exhibitors, and more! With your visit, you can also enjoy museum access and check out over 26 aircraft in the museum’s collection. Stay up to date through the museum’s website: https://usnasw.org/airfest-2023/

A lot of that could be cut back significantly or even cancel last minute because you-know-who is spending Labor Day weekend at his beach house in Rehoboth Beach, and the airport is within the 30NM ring of the TFR.
