Website is starting to come together:

https://www.breckenridgeairshow.com/

It appears that David Martin and the CAF B-25 "Devil Dog" are performing.

I've heard all kinds of stories about Breckenridge over the years, so seeing this one coming back has my interest. Past shows have been a showcase for many of the Texas warbird collections I don't often get to see. If that's the case this year, I will be there.

Looking forward to updates.

CAF P-40 and B-25 "Yellow Rose" added. Not sure if I'll end up following through with this trip or not. Earlier in the winter, I'd been given the impression that this was going to be a pretty big warbird gathering. Long way to go for not much announced so far, but supposedly they're going to be updating the website this weekend. That should hopefully make the decision easier. Not going to go if it's just Tora and CAF stuff I see somewhat regularly at Oshkosh.

The alleged website update hasn't happened yet, but some social media announcements:

Oklahoma Museum of Flying - B-25 Mitchell "Super Rabbit"
Bruce Winters - P-51D Mustang "Happy Jack's Go Buggy"
Carl Best - T-6 Texan

From some recent marketing, it also looks like Stewart Dawson will be performing in a Tigercat and Mark Mastren in a Super Stearman. David Martin and JT Airshows are also highlighted on the graphic.

The poster they shared on Facebook also lists a Tigercat, Sea Fury and P-40. I guess I'll go through with this. Warbirds are the primary reason I go to airshows and it will be cool to experience Breckenridge.

Spent a hot and windy day at Breckenridge Saturday. Unfortunately, the extreme heat and severe weather kept away nearly all of the scheduled heavy iron warbirds, making for a rather disappointing day. There was severe weather all over Saturday night. Thankfully, the airport didn't get hit with anything. I didn't feel like dealing with temperatures around 100 again and it didn't seem likely that anything else would come in, so I didn't return Sunday and moved on to my next road trip stop.

All that said, it's easy to see why past shows were regarded as a great warbird experience. The show layout is conducive to being close to the action and photography friendly. I don't anticipate going back as it's very far out of the way and far from anything else I'm interested in, but would consider going if the right opportunity came about. Hopefully they will have better luck with weather for their next show.

Seeing the P-40 fly with Tora for the first time was a highlight for me, as was getting to see "Was That Too Fast?" up close for the first time. The NextGen Eagles were pretty cool too, and I say that as someone who doesn't get very excited by aerobatic acts.

Here are a few photos.

Thanks for the pics. I went for the return in 2017 and it was one of the best warbird shows I've ever been to. The heavy iron turnout was incredible for a fly-in. I was tempted to go this year, but had other things pop up. Fortunately looks like I picked a good year to skip! Hopefully next year it'll get back on track.
