I know photography isn't great on show days but is there a least worse place for photos ?

At Boundary Bay the Snowbirds public affairs officer told me that the families of the Snowbirds were all coming to the Abby airshow and that they were going to fly in on a C-130 and that the Snowbirds will arrive in formation with it. It looks like they’ve upgraded it to a C-17.

Slightlyyyyyyyy off topic here but this may very well be of interest to all Abby visitors. On Saturday of the show a ROKAF A330 MRTT will be arriving at YVR for delivery in the morning and leaving Sunday Mid-day. I will definitely be going after the show Saturday to check it out.

Looks like the 3 Erickson Collection warbirds are due in tomorrow sometime. P-47 and P-40 are coming in from Quesnel, and the P-38 from Seattle.

In addition to seeing the from inside on Saturday, I’m planning on watching from outside, probably Sunday as close as I can get when the fastjets are turning in the weeds/lining up for the showline. So I’d like to be on Clearbrook near the landing lights. Do they clear this area during Thunderbirds? Any advice for not getting moved along? Is there a similar location on the west side of the airport?

Curious what people find works best for ISO setting when shooting south into the big blue Abbotsford sky. I've been experimenting with 2/3 stop over-exposure to brighten up my shots, seems to be effective. Anyone else use this technique?
