There's a possibility of A-10's crashing the show in Vero. A couple of years back they surprised everyone with the appearance of four A-10's (2 in the air/2 statics.) It looks like they are working on getting the Warthog back to the show this year.

Blue Angel 5 reportedly had a bird strike in an engine at the Saturday show. Lt. Tyler Davies landed the plane successfully, but it has sustained $1 million in damages. The plane was replaced for the Sunday show.

I was there for the media days (Thursday and Friday) and the blues were having a lot of mechanical problems. Thursday they flew out for a survey and perform a short demonstration later on but Blue Angel #4 was grounded the whole time. Friday, they put number 4 in the hanger and brought out a no number Blue Angel. Come practice time we had two #3's in the diamond formation. In the middle of the display, Blue Angel #6 grounded and went straight to the hanger which left Blue Angel #5 doing 3 or 4 passes without his counterpart. Blue Angel #4 was scrambled to join the team right on time for the Delta formation part of the display.
It was honestly such an interesting and bizarre weekend for the Blues in sunny Vero Beach.
